We are living in tumultuous times. Believers are attacking and harming other believers because of vain imaginations and some have even turned away from the faith. Persecution is happening all over the world, but the thing that grieves the heart of God most is when his people turn on each other, not demonstrating the love, mercy and grace of the Father's heart.
Colossians 3:12-15
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaks lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Christianity emphasizes justice, meted with compassion and mercy. Justice means to have moral rightness that is based on ethics, civil laws, natural laws and the Apostles' original doctrines. The Ten Commandments sums it up by stating, “Love thy neighbor as thy self”.
